• Annually for all active drivers. Each Clearinghouse Query costs $12, and you must have a Clearinghouse account set up and authorize Vertical Identity as your Third-Party Administrator. A Clearinghouse Query is a check of the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse to ensure a driver has no unresolved violations. These queries must be conducted:
• Pre-employment for all drivers.
• Annually for all active drivers.
What Are the 2025 FMCSA Drug Testing Rates? The FMCSA requires random testing of:
• 50% of the pool for drug testing.
• 10% of the pool for alcohol testing.
Can You Run Criminal Background Checks?
